20-year-old Ben Duncombe – the Club’s lowest handicapped player at +3, leads the Men’s Club Championships after the first two rounds which were played over the weekend.
Ben shot rounds of 68 (one under par) and 74 (5 over par), to sit at +4, three strokes clear of Sean McGill (73 and 72) and defending Champion Adam Rydwanski (also 73 and 72). Shane Muller and Ashley Reck sit a further shot back, but are still very much in the hunt.
In B Grade, Brad Reed – the brother of tournament sponsor Tim Reed from NeuBau Group, shot 82 on Saturday and an impressive 77 on Sunday, and leads by one from last year’s B Grade Champion Gary Clarke.
Terry Lawlor leads C Grade after consistent rounds of 87 and 88. Anthony Larchin holds 2nd place 3 shots back after two rounds of 89.
