Sean McGill and Josie Ryan overcame a poor third-nine today, re-grouping to close out their fourth Mixed Foursomes Championship (as partners) with a one-over-par last nine that included three birdies.
Sean and Josie got out of the blocks well with a 79 in the morning, and took a three stroke lead over Ben Duncombe and Annabel Harris into the lunch break.
Two double-bogeys and three straight bogeys in the nine holes after lunch saw the Champions lose the lead, and at one stage were two strokes behind eventual Runners-Up Adam Rydwanski and Vicky Sheridan (83.78 – 161).
Sean and Josie previously won this prestigious Championship in 2012, 2018 and 2020.
The Mixed Foursomes Championship was contested by 86 players, and was sponsored by Erik and Tove Larsen from Cirlock.
